Hadley's Birthday Invite

Well, Hadley's Birthday Party has come and gone. I'm going to post pictures soon but first I wanted to start out with just her invitation. I am very much a planner, so I started looking back at the end of November at different cakes to plan Hadley's party around. Let me start by saying my poor baby girl has not had a big birthday party yet, her first birthday party we only invited a few friends and her second birthday party was only family with just one family friend. So this party I wanted to go all out now that she has friends! Hadley told me she wanted a Tinker Bell Party, but when it came down to picking out a cake she didn't like any of them. We found one on line that was a lollipop themed cake and we both LOVED it! I didn't find any lollipop invites that I just loved so I ordered these and had her lick on a a lollipop for the effect!
For her party I made a cd with all kinds of different songs featuring candy, I had a custom outfit made for her with a lollipop on it, and we handed out lollipops as party favors that said "it was sweet of you to come".

Ashlyn Loves to Dance!

I can't believe I have failed to blog about Ashlyn and her dance class. I knew I wanted the girls to be apart of some kind of extra curricular activity, but I wanted to wait until they could tell me what they were interested in before I spent money on something they hated. I was a cheerleader in school so I thought it would be great for them to be in gymnastics and then competitive cheerleading later. I waited until Ashlyn turned 4 before enrolling her in anything. She was very sure about what she wanted to do. She wanted to be a ballerina! She is such a girlie girl and I don't mean she just likes pink and dresses up like a princess, and plays tea party, I mean she is the prissiest thing ever! She HAS to have a napkin with each meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week), she would much rather wear a dress any day even at home just playing, she won't walk out of the house if she doesn't match (and she can tell), and that is just to name a few things!
I knew ballet would suit her perfect. Above (blue leotard) is a picture of Ashlyn at her Summer Princess Dance Camp. Nathan's parents took off a week of work so that she could go to this camp. It was Monday-Friday for a few hours. She loved it!
Here is Ashlyn at home about to leave for her 1st day at Ballet/Tap class. As soon as I opened the door she jumped in the van and buckled herself up, she was so excited!

Here she is about to go inside for her 1st day!
Inside the dressing room waiting for class to start with her best friends who all take class together!
In class, following directions. Ashlyn is a very focused student. She always tells me that she has to watch Ms. Lacie's legs. I am so proud of her. She tells me she likes ballet more than tap so we may try to just do ballet next year. I can see her going far with this talent she has. She is very graceful, balanced, and attentive.

The G!

My Girls got a Jeep (princess toyota FJ) for Christmas from Nathan's parents. They love driving/riding on it. I was sure that only having one of them that it would be a fight about who would get to drive and who would have to wait their turn but it has not been like that at all. Ashlyn jumps right in the driver seat and backs it out of the carport like a pro. Hadley is content to just ride, but Ashlyn would let her if ever she ask. Ashlyn calls the Jeep a "G", I think it's because she must not hear the "P" in Jeep when we say it. Its cute whatever the reason!
This is Hadley driving the Jeep when they first got it. It was pretty funny that Hadley was actually better at driving it than Ashlyn at first. Hadley is Miss All Around, there isn't much she is not perfect at!

Our Fun Christmas Season

We had a great Christmas, full of all of the festivities that we usually do each year. We started the season off with decorating our new Christmas Tree. I was tired of our tiny tree that we've had for too long.

Here are the girls posing by our decorated tree for the Christmas Card picture.
Well, we tried Santa again this year and to no surprise the girls wouldn't have anything to do with him, although we found out that they do love Mrs. Claus! Poor Santa! We had a fun night looking at Christmas lights on a golf cart, went to see Santa, and even went on a horse and buggy ride.
The girls are getting ready here for their school Christmas Program. They did so good!
Christmas Parties at school!

We had a Birthday Party for Jesus and Meme and Grandaddy's house!
Christmas Morning, Santa brought them everything they asked for!
