Our Last Day

We split the Magic Kingdom into 2 days so that we could take our time and enjoy it all without rushing. I'm so glad we did because there was so much to do and see! The Kingdom opened an hour early for guest staying on Disney property so when it opened we took our time down Main street and ate breakfast at the Main street Bakery!
Here is Ashlyn and Hadley walking through Cinderella's Castle.
Nathan liked going through the Swiss Family Treehouse. Here he is with Hadley.
Here I am with Ashlyn!
Our family at the Swiss Family Treehouse!

Ashlyn and Hadley meeting Tinkerbell and Vidia!
Alice and the White Rabbit!
Meeting Princess Tiana, she was so sweet!
Aladdin and Jasmine were the most fun characters to meet. Aladdin was so energetic and they really took their time with the girls! Hadley gave them a heart off of her hair bow and they were trying to decide where to put it at. They finally decided to put it on the Sultan's Throne!

We watched the fireworks the first night we were at the Magic Kingdom so on our last day we went through all the shops on Main street as we were leaving and bought all of our souvenirs. Here we all are during one of the parades right before we left the park.

After we left the Magic Kingdom we went to the Grand Floridian Resort and ate at 1900 Park Fare with Cinderella, Prince Charming, the Stepmother, and step sisters. The girls had a wonderful time interacting with the characters. The Stepmother even asked Hadley to dance with her during the dance they do in the middle of dinner!
Here are the girls meeting Prince Charming!

Leaving the Contemporary Resort on our way to the docks to get on a boat to go back to the cabin.
We spent the rest of the night at the pool. There was so much for us to do there. Here is Ashlyn on the small slide for the young kids. I didn't get a picture of her going down the huge spiral slide they had. She loved it though!
Here is Hadley relaxing in the kiddie pool!
Ashlyn loved jumping to her Daddy! We had so much fun at Disney World and we can't wait to go back! Next time we want to go to Epcot and maybe a water park!

Animal Kingdom

Our 3rd Day we ate breakfast at Chef Mickey's in the Contemporary Resort. We had a great time meeting Mickey and his friends!
Mamma wanted her picture made with Minnie! Ashlyn told Minnie that Mickey kissed her hand, it was so cute!
We went to the Animal Kingdom after we ate breakfast. Here I am on the Kilimanjaro safari!
Hadley and lots of fish! Her face is so funny!
The girls meeting Pocahontas! We weren't expecting to see her, I think I jumped up and down!

Here we are at the Tree of Life!
Nathan and the girls playing on some drums!
Dinner at Yak and Yeti. Hadley had chocolate pudding topped with marshmallows, her favorite!
Mamma and Boppa with their gran daughters. We had a great day at the Animal Kingdom. It was a nice slow paced day. Nathan and I took the evening to go back to Downtown Disney while the girls got in the bed early!

Magic Kingdom

This was by far the day we had all looked forward to the most, the day we go to the Magic Kingdom! The Magic Kingdom is the place where dreams come true and that is what happened for Ashlyn and Hadley for sure! Here is Nathan and I on the boat headed to the Contemporary Resort where we then got on the Monorail that took us to the Kingdom! It was a perfect morning, the lake was so peaceful and we got to ride one of the smaller boats since we got to the dock so early.
Hadley and I on the monorail so excited to see Cinderella's Castle and meet lots of Princess'!!
What a wonderful good morning show with Mickey driving the train! I sing this song to the girls on a regular basis to get them out of the bed!
Ashlyn riding Dumbo with her Mamma!

Hadley and Boppa!
Me and the girls about to ride the Teacups!
Meeting Rapunzel, it was a very long line (I think about an hour). It was nice to have so many people so some people could be getting fast passes while others waited in line. Thanks to Nathan and his mom the girls, my father in law, and I rode the Teacups while they waited in line for us!
What a wonderful treat to meet some princess'! Cinderella is teaching the girls how to have a tea party. She was so wonderful and took her time with the girls. They loved her!

Sleeping Beauty, my favorite princess!
After the girls met the princess' they picked out some Mickey Ears. I got their name monogrammed on the back and here they are looking at the Castle while we wait for our table at the Crystal Palace! I love this picture, they are just soaking it all in!
At the Crystal Palace we got to eat dinner with Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Ashlyn and Hadley got to lead the parade behind Piglet (Hadley's favorite!)
Eeyore was so cute! I just love Hadley's face here!

Hollywood Studios!

Headed to the bus stop to go to Hollywood Studios! The girls woke up early with no problem ready to go have a fun filled day! This was the only day they woke up early with no problem!
Here we are as the park opened. The girls got on shoulders so they wouldn't get ran over!
Disney Junior-Live on Stage. The girls knew about every word (and me too) from watching the shows at home!
Here is Hadley having fun playing on the Honey I shrunk the Kids playground.

In line for the Great Movie Ride, this was one of the carousel horses in "Mary Poppins".
Ashlyn watching a parade with her fan and standing in the shade to cool down for a minute.
The girls meeting Buzz and Woody after riding Toy Story Mania. So much fun!!
Lunch at Mama Melrose's Ashlyn loved it there and of course we all loved all the dessert!

Backlot Tour. Nathan and Ashlyn look so serious!
I always see pictures of kids asleep at Disney World and just didn't understand why! Now I know why, the girls did good keeping up and doing everything but poor Hadley had to take a nap. Here she is waiting for Indiana Jones to start.

Here Ashlyn is on the way to go see Beauty and the Beast!

The Carpenters go to Disney!

We decided to go to Disney World this year for our vacation. The girls were at at wonderful age to go. Ashlyn could pretty much ride everything but the major roller coasters and Hadley rode everything she wanted to. She is definitely our little Piglet! The girls were right at home with all the princesses and fantasy! Here they are shortly after we arrived at our cabin. Nathan's parents came with us so we stayed at the Fort Wilderness Cabins. We were very pleased with the accommodations.
The girls slept on bunk beds right beside Nathan and I. They of course loved them. Ashlyn slept on top, but they both loved playing on the top bunk!
Here is Nathan and I posing with our mickey head towel! Everything was very exciting since this was our first trip to Disney!

The girls and I changed clothes to go walk downtown Disney. Here we are on our first Disney bus headed downtown.
Nathan and his Mickey sticker!
When we got downtown we grabbed a bite to eat at sandwich shop and then walked around looking at all there was to see. Here are the girls posing with a statue of Buzz outside of one of the toy stores. It was so hard trying to explain to the girls to save their spending money for the parks. We did let them buy an autograph book each for the parks and a tied dyed Mickey bracelet!
The nightlife was wild and fun. We danced in a small competition to win some musicians cd, we didn't win and the girls didn't understand why we didn't. Here we are posing with a real man pretending to be a statue. Hadley was very fascinated by him. After we left downtown we went back to the cabin for a full nights sleep so we could get ready for a fun day at Hollywood Studios the next day!
